ABOUT

I'm a software developer with 8 years of development experience (6 of them as a Systems Analyst) and research skills. I'm interested in all kinds of IoT technologies, but my major focus is on designing context-aware/situation-aware applications, services and tools to aid their development as well.

WORK

Systems Analyst
Evológica Tecnologia e Pesquisa
Evológica and, mainly, its branch Idexa have expertise in the modeling, development and support of Insurance Systems.
My activities at Evológica involves:

Framework development/support (Curio - Evológica's own internal framework)
Design of internal dev tools for development experience improvement
Leading dev teams towards development of products for the insurance market, like eSegurado
Setting up environments for development, testing, and release of services.
Team training and tutoring (Git Workflow, Docker, Curio, SQL, Angular)

Research on Context-aware application development techniques, Quality of Context (QoC) and Situation-awareness.
Architect and Lead developer of the Scene Platform, a rule-based framework for situation-aware application development.
Co-author of 4 research papers and a book chapter about those subjects. One of them (A rule-based platform for situation management) awarded with the Best Paper award at the IEEE CogSIMA 2013 Conference.
